President Obama touched on almost every issue in the State of the Union, going through his multi-step process for getting the United States to a full economic recovery. The main part of this plan was creating jobs, and eventually he made the point that investing in clean, renewable energy was going to be a huge factor in creating those jobs. It is going to be the largest and fastest growing sector in the world’s economy. It has to be a priority if your goal is to create jobs for Americans.
The organizer for Clean Energy Missouri, Michaela Howard, says that we could create over 36,000 jobs in Missouri alone. As Obama pointed out in his speech, even if you are a climate change denier, passing a clean energy bill is the right thing to do economically.
